Importing Publications

You can import publication information into PRO directly from other scholarly publishing agencies (such as PubMed, Crossref, Google Scholar, Scopus, etc.). To do so, go to the Publications screen and click on the “Import” button at the top, right-hand side of the screen.

Below please see the links to instructions for using BibTeX files or Crossref/PubMed to import your publication information.

If you wish to import your publication information as a BibTeX file, you can use the links provided

to generate a BibTeX file. Save the file to your computer or device and then click the  button to upload the BibTeX file you just created. If you already have a BibTeX file with your information, you can just select the  button and upload your file.

New to 2017, PRO can now search and import information from Crossref using several different search criteria.

Using Crossref

To import your publication information from Crossref, select Crossref as the third party service. You should see your name already auto-populated in the Author field.

You can enter additional search criteria by choosing “Add search criteria”. This will create a new line for an additional search criterion.

To remove additional search criteria, click on the  icon next to the criterion you wish to delete.

Crossref can search for your publication information by:

Click  to perform the search.

NOTE    Author search in Crossref uses a relevancy score to determine the order in which publications appear in the search results. With common names, Crossref will return many publications and then sort them by relevancy.

Using PubMed

To import your publication information from PubMed, select PubMed as the third party service. You should see your name already auto-populated in the Author field.

You can enter additional search criteria by choosing “Add search criteria”. This will create a new line for an additional search criterion.

To remove additional search criteria, click on the  icon next to the criterion you wish to delete.
