PLEASE NOTE Many screens/categories are tailored for specific schools and colleges. These guidelines are for the categories that are shared throughout the University. If you have questions about categories in PRO specific to your school or college, please contact the PRO Office.
- Announcements and Instructions
This links you to the KU PRO homepage with instructions and information on working in PRO.
- Personal Information, Teaching/Research Statements, BIO
This screen is where you can update your professional contact information (office number, telephone number, etc.) and your biographical statements (brief bio, research interests, etc.) This is the section that pulls to your faculty webpage if you have your webpage activated to pull from PRO.
- Yearly Data
Yearly Data is managed by the PRO team and determines which school- and college-specific reports are applicable to you. If you see a problem, please contact Emily Lowrance-Floyd at email@example.com.
- Academic, Professional, and Other Employment/Experience
This screen is where you can enter information on your academic appointments (including postdoctoral work) and professional employment experience.
- Administrative Assignments
This screen contains academic administrative roles such as department chairs, division directors, deans, and positions above deans. Record any such assignments here.
- Awards and Honors, Honor Societies
Fulbrights and fellowships may be recorded both here and in the Contracts, Grants, Fellowships and Other Funded Activity screen in the Research/Scholarly/Creative Activity section. Be sure to fill out the "Purpose" category (Teaching, Research/Scholarly/Creative Work, Service, etc.) in order to have each award/honor appear on your annual reports.
Records of your educational history and degrees earned go here. Postdoctoral work may be reported here, but it's probably better suited to go under Academic, Professional, and Other Employment/Experience.
- Licensures, Certifications, and Professional Training
Includes non-degree-seeking post-secondary education in addition to professional licensures and certifications. In the creative fields, list work with recognized artists, teachers, studios, or mentors here.
